How to check Mouse DPI?
Knowing your mouse DPI is really helpful, especially if you are an avid gamer who likes to play shooter games like Valorant, CS GO/2, Fortnite, etc. If you know the DPI of your mouse, you can easily convert your mouse sensitivity from one game to another and instantly start top fragging in the new game (hopefully). Or calculate sensitivity for the same game after changing to a new mouse with a different DPI.
Ways to check Mouse DPI
1. Driver Software
Most modern gaming mice come with driver software that allows you to configure the mouse's settings, such as DPI, polling rate, button assignment, etc. You can usually find the DPI information in the driver software.
2. Product Specifications
You can also find the DPI information on the product packaging or on the manufacturer's website by searching for your mouse's model on Google.
For example, if you have a Logitech G502 mouse, you can search for "Logitech G502 DPI" on Google, and you will find the DPI information on the Logitech website.
3. Manual Measurement
You can roughly estimate your mouse dpi manually by measuring the distance (in pixels) your cursor travels on your screen by moving your mouse a certain distance (in inches) physically and then dividing the pixels by the physical distance.
You can use our tool Mouse DPI Analyzer to estimate your mouse DPI, this free online tool is especially useful when your mouse does not have driver software or you can't find the DPI information on the manufacturers website/manual.
