What is DPI?
DPI, which stands for Dots Per Inch, is the measure of a mouse's sensitivity, determining how far the cursor moves on the screen for each inch the mouse moves physically. A higher DPI means the cursor moves farther with less physical movement, and a lower DPI translates to slower cursor movement for the same physical motion.

How to use?
- Take a ruler/measuring tape and place it on your desk/mousepad
- Select the you prefer (inch, cm or mm)
- Enter a reasonable value (larger values give more accurate result)
- Click and hold with any of your mouse button
- Move your mouse the specified distance along the ruler/measuring tape
- Let go of the mouse button
- The estimated DPI will be shown in the center
Generally, Mouse DPI is a multiple of 50 e.g. 800, 950, 1000 etc, so measure your DPI 3-4 times and round the average value.
Note: You need to measure the distance your physical mouse moves on your desk/mousepad and not the cursor/pointer on your screen
What is the use of this website?
Most modern mice either have their DPI listed on the packaging or come with software that allows you to check and adjust their DPI settings. If you're unsure about your mouse's DPI, you can use this website to find it out or confirm if the DPI mentioned on the packaging or software is accurate.
What DPI should i use?
There is no universal "best" DPI setting; it all depends on your intended use. If you're a gamer, try different DPI levels to find what suits your playing style. For creative work, a higher DPI might offer better precision. Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all solution, so choose what works best for you.
